20 January 23 - Lucie's law for dogs

Lucy's Law, named after a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was rescued from a puppy farm, is a regulation that aims to improve the welfare of puppies and kittens by limiting their sale as pets in England. The law, which came into effect in April 2018, prohibits the sale of puppies and kittens under the age of eight weeks by anyone other than the breeder.

At Bambini Bulldogs, we fully support Lucy's Law and the welfare of all animals. We believe that puppies and kittens should never be taken away from their mothers before they are eight weeks old as this can have a detrimental effect on their socialization and development. We also believe that puppies and kittens should not be sold through pet shops or third party dealers, as these puppies and kittens are often sourced from puppy farms and may have health and behavioral issues.

To ensure that we comply with Lucy's Law and to provide the best possible care for our puppies and kittens, we only sell puppies and kittens that are eight weeks old or older and we only sell them directly to the public. We also make sure that our puppies and kittens are healthy, well-socialized and have received all necessary vaccinations and veterinary care before they go to their new homes.

We encourage anyone considering buying a puppy or kitten to only buy from a reputable breeder who follows Lucy's Law and the Animal Welfare Act 2006. By buying from a responsible breeder, you can be sure that you are getting a healthy and well-adjusted animal that will make a loving addition to your family.
